New Works by D.L. Soucy

These are some of the finished works of mine. More to come....
Do you remember?

I'm going to begin sharing my postcard collection here. See if you can guess where the scenes were taken, and how long ago.

This card is a picture of Belfast Landing. Steamboats picked up cargo and passengers at places called landings, and there were many around the state of Maine.A steamer from the Eastern SteamShip Company is moored at the wharf.

This card is of the Mill Creek area in Thomaston. This is the site of one of the earlier sawmills in the state of Maine.

The sawmill project is coming along fine, and should be available in the spring of 2008.Until then,I've compiled a short trailer called "A Day At Springer's Mill".These stills and videos are from their annual fundraising event to help preserve and restore the Scribner Mill in Harrison Maine. If you'd like to learn more about this living history project please visit them at www.scribnersmill.org. The video itself can be seen in the player on the main page.
